GEJ
Hi you say 80 percent matching? Do you have the matching lower? Or just the one pictured above? Thanks Gage.

The lower comes from one of the last MP40s built. It is an M suffix bnz 43. I have an all matching bnz 43 that has an N suffix. I have only seen one MP 40 with a later serial number than mine. It was a 3-digit bnz 44 with no suffix. If you compare these late 1943 lowers to earlier ones, you will see a number of production shortcuts. One of my books references these guns as the 5th variation.

And yes of course wish it was 100% matching but oh well Having the spare moving parts has been useful at least, save a little wear on the originals. Blast to shoot! I bought a pre-May as my shooter. It is a BNZ 43 no suffix so it was likely made in January 1943 and has the old style grip frame. I am pretty sure my bnz 43 N suffix was made in December 1943. In addition to being matching, it has the distinction of coming out of Winchester's museum. It still has the museum inventory tag glued to the side.
