HIGHENDARMS Posted December 30, 2024 Report Share Posted December 30, 2024 (edited) This is a Factory Colt M16A2 “AUTO” marked lower not burst marked like most of the M16A2's. This one has the 16" carbine upper and as you can see in the pictures it is in excellent condition for it's age. The M16A2's are the most sought after of all the M16's from Colt as they are the latest generation with the latest updates before the 1986 ban. Very few were marked with the auto stamping as the US Military was transitioning away from full auto M16's to three round burst as full auto was determined to be inaccurate over the three round burst. This is a great investment firearm as the limited number of M16A2's will always demand a higher premium over the other M16's. Don't let this M16A2 get away from your collection!
