Bronconation
I purchased a bunch of Federal American Eagle 9mm 147 grain and they would not cycle at all — not sure if it was a mag issue or feed ramp issue but what is recommended for full auto fire for the Mac 10 in 9mm? mattnh
Anything that is round nosed should run just fine... A lot of subguns don't feed flat-nosed ammo very well.
tommyboy
I’ve had good luck with Fiocchi 158 grain subsonic which has a round nose bullet. As already stated, most flat nosed ammo will not perform well and unfortunately most subsonic rounds offered these days have flat nosed bullets.
Perazzi12ga
I shoot a lot of hush MFG 158 gr and 165’s out of my Mac 10 and Mac 11 they both eat hush ammo like candy.
Colt Chopper
I use 147 gr Speer Lawman and Blazer Brass
MPFiveO
If the bullet has a flat nose that will likely be the issue, especially if the gun feeds normal round nose profile supersonic bullets. I've been lucky with both the MP5 and Uzi feeding the Winchester 147 grain flat nose bullets. I can't comment on the Federal or running them in a 9mm MAC 10 as mine is in .45 ACP. As mentioned above, try the Fiocchi 158 grain ammo. I guarantee it will feed reliably and be super quiet.
SBR
As stated above, any round nose. In fact, my RPB runs fiocchi 147 better than any other round, subsonic or not.
Bronconation
Thanks to everyone for your responses here. Just picked up a case of PMC 147 grain round nose and will report back. I have heard the Fiocchi and Privi Partisan 158 are great. Hopefully this will also cure my Stribog issues it doesn’t like flat nose bullets either. Merry Christmas! lemonysword
I ran a mag of a buddy's 147g Hush ammo through my M10/9mm and it emptied it with no issue. He also had a brand of heavier ammo, 150 something but I don't remember the exact weight or brand. It ran with no issues as well. It was very quiet with my OG suppressor. Like others have said, round nose is what you need.
