Sid Post
What's the story on these in terms of MP-5SD options? They seem to sell really fast when they hit the market and carry a price premium in general over conversions from shops like Micheal's Machines and similar Type 7's but, aren't priced that bad either. Over on HK Pro, they seem to be pretty negative in general over the barrel cage and cocking tube specifically being among the 'biggest' issues from a somewhat long list. People also mention something about their Grenande Launcher fiasco, whatever that is or was. With a base SP-5 being ~$3K, a conversion being ~$2300, and suppressor and tax stamps adding another ~$1K is a bit cheaper than a $7K SP-5SD from B&T. TIA, Sid
pinball-1
Outside of their cans, B&T has been nothing but a let-down for me. The cans have been decent, but nothing to write home about. HKRalphJr did my SP5 to MP5SD conversion, I was extremely satisfied. Quick turn around and pretty reasonable price. Quality and refinish was fantastic. It was even re-marked correctly - I don't believe you'd get that with the SP-5SD from B&T.
