Up for sale is a very nice Harrington & Richardson (H&R) Model 50 Reising in .45 ACP. This is a Fully Transferable Pre-1986 Machine Gun. Currently in our inventory. Was transferred from an estate. It can transfer on a Form 3 or Form 4. Video showing test fire in semi and full auto. Performed flawlessly using Winchester White Box 230 Grain FMJ Ammo.

We trade under Old Dominion Manufacturing Inc and we also do business under the name ODM Firearms and Old Dominion Auction Company. Form Status:

All transferable NFA items we offer for sale are in our possession and have been transferred to our business on either a Form 4 or Form 3 (unless stated otherwise). Regardless of which form it came in to us on, we can transfer all NFA items on either a Form 3 (tax exempt from us to your dealer if you are out of state) or on a Form 4 (if you are a Virginia resident. Tax obligation is yours).

Current Form Viewing:

At the request of a serious and committed buyer, we will be happy to show you a copy of the current Form 3 or Form 4.

ATF eForms:

We use ATF eForms for all outgoing NFA transfers. We can do Form 3 transfers to your dealer (out of state buyers) and we can do Form 4 transfers to Virginia residents. For Form 4 transfers, you must bring a flash drive with you that contains your EFT fingerprint file, passport photo, and trust documentation (if applicable). You must also already have an ATF eForms account set up.

Availability:

All of our merchandise is typically offered for sale on multiple platforms simultaneously including available for in store walk in sales. We mark all items as sold before we commit to a deal; basically if it says it is available, it is still available.

Payment:

We accept cash, certified bank checks, or personal checks only. We absolutely do not accept credit cards, PayPal, Zelle, crypto, or etc. 

Sales Tax:

If you are a Virginia resident, we will have to add 6% to your order for sales tax. We do not charge sales tax in any other state provided the transaction is not physically conducted in Virginia.

Layaway:

We offer short term layaway to all serious and qualified buyers. Terms will be discussed and negotiated on a case by case basis. The first layaway payment will be nonrefundable and considered to be a good faith deposit. The outgoing Form 3 or Form 4 will not be initiated until we are paid in full.

Inspection:

All of our merchandise is available for in person inspection by appointment only at our brick and mortar store in Chesapeake, VA. We do not have an indoor or outdoor range but we may be able to offer an in-person test fire session to serious and committed buyers at our offsite personal range. We also attend the Shooters Gauntlet Machine Gun Shoot in Monroe, PA every spring and can bring items there for test fire with advance notice.

Packing:

Everything we pack is done with extreme care. We respect the investment you have made and want to protect it like it’s our own. We do not use any previously used boxes. Everything we ship goes out in brand new ULINE 200LB crush test cardboard cartons. Guns are wrapped with bubble wrap and packed securely and separate from anything that could come into contact with them. We offer the option to include a hard case (for an additional fee) but due to the additional length and weight the price of shipping will increase.

Shipping:

All shipping on machine guns will be AT COST. We ship all machine guns by USPS Registered Mail and they are insured for full value. They are VERY SLOW but it is the only viable option that allows us to fully insure these items. UPS and FEDEX policy strictly prohibits the shipment of machine guns. If something were to happen in transit, they would not cover the insurance. We will ship via Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express at the buyers request but you will assume all liability once the package leaves our hands and you must sign a Waiver of Liability that we will not be held liable for any loss or damage that may occur in transit. Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express have an insurance cap of $5,000.00.

AirTag:

As an added layer of security, every machine gun that we ship will be shipped with an Apple AirTag in the box. This is a very effective method of tracking the precise location of a package at any given time. The AirTag will be sealed in a pre-addressed postage paid envelope which your dealer is responsible for tendering to the USPS for return to us. 

Pickup: 

If you are a Virginia resident, you are welcome to do the transfer with us in-house and you can pick the gun up at our shop when the approved Form 4 comes back. We do not charge a transfer fee for anything that we sell. If you are out of state and your dealer really loves you and is willing to pick the firearm up once the Form 3 transfer to them comes back approved, we will also accommodate that.

Warranty:

AS IS. Due to the nature of the product, NFA items are non returnable. We try to provide many photos including test fire videos. Look at them carefully. We perform an honest assessment on each item we sell and try to make note of any deficiencies. The "S" prefix, added by the builder, indicates that the gun is a Numrich Arms registered example assembled pre-'68 from their extensive stores of commercial, PD and military receivers and parts. Nothing wrong with these examples, as they are Reisings and no different than others, except  they are not factory assembled. Over the last couple years I've sold a few more than twenty Reisings with half a dozen of them being Numrich guns. Some interesting mixes of military and commercial parts on most of them. I've heard various numbers tossed around about the number of guns Numrich produced. No doubt there is an accurate accounting somewhere. FWIW

Documents I found at the National Archives state that S prefix serial numbers indicate 1957  Reising production. Additionally, several complete S prefix Reisings were sold at H&Rs 1986 asset reduction sale. (it was not a bankruptcy sale as commonly believed, H&R filed a Chapter 11, and was given permission by a judge to sell off guns and equipment to keep operating, thus temporarily saving jobs. )

However, it is true that Numrich did buy a large number of receivers and assembled Reisings in the 1980s. In the Numrich SGN ads the guns were $695.00.
