I've been wanting to add a G18 to the inventory and am looking at some of the G18 parts kits that have been coming in lately. I understand the 18 slide isn't a drop-in fit onto the 17 frame. My question is, what has to be done to mate a 17 frame with an 18 parts kit? Is it a matter of excavating the rails and fabbing up new ones? Or milling the slide to accept the 17 rails? I've found plenty of SOTs posting the finished result of their reactivated G18 parts kit, just never info on how they did it. If anyone would feel more comfortable verifying my FFL/SOT status before providing info, I'd be happy to do so, just send me a DM Thanks in advance!
