JECIII
Here it is straight from the horses mouth. They are closing down. This will leave a huge hole in the industry
SGT Fish
I can only guess that the Koreans, magpul, and other manufacturers have taken all their business.

M60D
Beta mag which have always been stable price wise will go up now. Edited September 2, 2024 by M60D
Chef
It's a changing market, and if you don't grow, you don't go, as I once heard an advertising rep say. Ammo is just too expensive, and except for the MG guys with deep pockets, most people aren't burning through thousands of rounds a week anymore. The younger crowd is more into LARPing and "tactical training" with reload drills and such. C-mags just aren't tactical.
Delta-10
We have a customer who was downsizing his collection and I bought one of his old new and box AR-15 ones earlier in the summer. Then we got some guns in from an Leo trade and that had a beta mag in it for AR-15 as well. I went to the website and saw that they were still selling the pouches and loaders so I went ahead and picked up those so I can make a nice little package out of that freebie mag I got. Guess that other one's going to stay new in the box. There were also a couple Korean mags in that Leo trade but when taking a closer look I noticed one was actually a legitimate c-mag. Ryo
Well that's too bad. They had a good warranty. I had bought a used MP5 betamag with broken feedlips and I sent it in for repair. They replace the tower at no charge. I would have paid..
marks
That is a bummer to hear they are ceasing production. As previously mentioned, suppose the price will increase out in the wild. I REALLY like the G3 Beta. Price of admission was steep and feeding it is steeper but 100 rds. of 7.62X51. Oh yeah baby!!!
Abacab
They've updated their website again announcing the closure. I wonder what happened to the rest of the parts. I wanted to order some more.

OIF09
Jim Sullivan passed away in 2024. He was the inventor of the CMAG. Maybe this might be a clue? I have 2 of them. 1 AR10A that I never used and just scored a HK91/G3 one brand new in its box on GB. (Both NFS) sorry.

I’ve had and used a ton of different types of drums. Ended up getting rid of them because they were too awkward to use, unless I wanted to learn to chicken-wing with my offhand.

They're part of a Light Support Weapon kit. They're meant to be fired prone or supported with a bipod and the support hand tucked under the stock near the shoulder. This works great with the Colt RO750 LMG, Steyr AUG with LMG barrel and a HK 13 with a quick change barrel and 23E style stock. I doesn't really lend itself to a standard M4 Carbine from the shoulder. They're great for blasting long bursts of ammo but awkward to carry around. Incidentally, I’ve never found myself in a position where I needed to lay down cover fire, nor do I anticipate being in such a situation. Even if I were and I had a few C’s, I would forget the graphite and have to go back to standard mags. Uncle Sugar preferred the 249 and 240 in that regard. I would as well, but again, not much call for it at any of the ranges in my area. It may be different elsewhere and I’m missing out, perhaps? Edited November 22 by Don.
