I purchased here in the mid 2000s to be used as college tuition for my newborn daughter.  Time has flown, my hair is now Grey, and she is now grown.  So, it's time to cash in a few investments so I can stop paying out of pocket for everything.

This AC556K has only been out of my safe about 10 times in 20 years.  I have only shot it at our indoor range about 5 times.  Everything functions flawless.  I placed a Clyde Armory SCAR AC556 stock on it for about 800.00 at the time.  I think it helped both esthetically and functionally.  The original Folding Stock is included as well and the pictures are listed below!

I do have a Ceiner .22lr kit built for the AC556 with about 12 .22lr magazines as well as about 20 AC556 30 round magazines that I will also be selling.

I have contacted a local FFL that will do the transfer.  Buyer is responsible for ALL fees associated with sale, shipping, and transfer.

So in short, 14,000.00 seems to be the average price!!  If your intreasted please let me know!!  Certified funds only but I am accepting all legitimate offers!!

1-AC556K, Serial number 191-055** on Form 4 in Alabama (See Pictures)

1-Clyde Armory SCAR Stock

3-Original Ruger stamped metal magazines

Everything is in beautiful condition as seen in the pictures.

If you have any questions, PLEASE ASK.  TEXT OR CALL ME AT 205-422-3511, I would prefer a text first if between 8:00 and 5:00 CST.

What happened to the front sight?   Can you get a proper iron sight picture with the CQB?   Do you have the original wood folder stock?

I'm sorry,  When these guns were sold new there were several ways to get them.  If you notice that the metal side cover (opposite ejection port) has a single threaded hole and is also considerably thicker material.  This means that this variant came with a scope mount and possibly a scope.

I have done alot of research on these since I own 4.  I can say that within the past 50 years or so that people have either changed their looks to suit their taste or to better suit the aestetics of the rifle.

A good example is with the "K" designation, (meaning folding variant).  I have 2 that have the K designation on the paperwork, however 1 came with a wooden full stock, and this one had the true A-Team style folding stock.

This picture below is another AC556 that I have that had a tang on the upper block,  I ordered this upper block from Clyde Armory also.

I would like to sell each of my 4 guns in the exact configuration that I bought them in so that the new owner can do what he or she wants.

This sale will include the factory folding stock, but not a different gas block since it has the factory original on it.

Is it select fire or full auto only? Flash hider unscrew and normal 1/2x28 thread?

I have 2 of these (AC556K) for sale.  Both are 3 position.

Semi auto (1 pop per pull)

3 Round Select (3 pops per pull)

Full Auto (750-850 rpm per pull, dependant upon feed method.

The "Safety" is the flag in front of the trigger.  So the little switch on top controls the rate of fire only.

And yes, I have several suppressors from Gemtech and originally wanted to suppress one of my 4 ACs.  All the literature I have read says that it's threaded the standard 1/2 x 28.  I have carefully looked under magnification and do not see a pin, with all 4 having a 191 prefix on their serial does agree with everything BUT....  I have never tried more than grabbing the birdcage firmly and trying to unscrew.  To no avail...  So, I can only assume this one too was exactly like the other 270k (Rough estimate since Ruger never released the true quantity) with 191 prefixes (Transferrable) and threaded/unpinned barrels.  Especially since these were already in the hands of the owners when the whole "pin" controversy became a mainstream topic, roughly 15 years later.

Attached are pictures from the 1979 Ruger owners manual which show the barrel threads as well as the function of the Selector switch.  Please note that the pin beside the forward sight goes in the sight and rest in an appropriate groove on the top of the barrel, and is no way impeding the threads on the muzzle brake.  I just measured and it's about 3 3/4 inches away but only on a ranch variant (long barrel) This model does not have a forward sight mated to the barrel since it's the shorter barrel.
