Baker44
This is a Red Dawn era Maadi imported by Steyr and subsequently converted to select fire. It is in beautiful condition. I have shot it very little. It runs as an AK should. The Steyr Maddi guns were the first authentic semi-auto AK to be imported into the US beginning in 1982 until 1986. Maadi is made in Egypt. In the 1950s Russians took machinery to Egypt and set up a factory. Egyptians were trained by Russians in making AKs. It is said this is the closest obtainable gun to a Russian AKM. The Egyptian gun was designated Automatic Rifle Misr or ARM. The ATF form lists it as model AKM, so be it. Pearl converted the Red Dawn guns. I do not know who converted this one. I thought of doing a FOIA to ATFE but never got to it. No worries, it is solid in every way and functions 100%. I do not have any of the scarce Egyptian mags for it. I believe I have a green sling that is supposed to be correct but not original to this gun. The wooden hand grip matches the other wood. I don’t know what else to say about it. It works and feels fine on the gun. The bore is excellent as is the entire rifle. I was an FFL for 21 years, not an SOT. My day job required a TS clearance in a SCIF. I am legit as is this offer to sell. If you are not legit, I will know so don’t bother me. I bought some class 3 stuff for my collection. I have reached a point when it is time to pass the job of caretaking to the next owner. We live in a very special time where some of the good stuff can still be had. It is fun. Select fire AKs don’t come up often. This is a really good one. Terms are 50% to start paper to transfer to your FFL-SOT. When that first transfer paper is approved to your FFL-SOT, the remaining 50% is due to me. I will pay the first stamp for you. In state FL transfers require 100% paid up front. This gun is worth every penny of my $40,000 price. I have no interest in trades. NO PAYPAL! If you wish to use GUNTAB escrow service that is fine, you pay 100% upfront to them and plus their fee 3%. I have not used them, but I am willing to. I will pay the seller fee of 2.9%. So, with me paying for your first transfer stamp, and shipping and 2.9% seller fee to Guntab, that is $1500 in fees to me. Consider that your good deal. Thank you and good luck. Sorry some pics did not post turned correctly.
