davester
At least two FFL’s have had their licenses revoked in our area for seemingly minor 4473 issues. Some say it is part of a Biden plan to put as many of us out of business as possible. On the current form 4473 (revised Dec 2022) section 21 21.n.1. And 21.n.2 a notation says (U.S. citizens/nationals leave 21.n.1 and 21.n.2 blank). A few of my US customers have just checked NO on those two lines rather than leaving blank. Does anyone see an issue with that or has anyone been hassled over it during an inspection? Thanks in advance.
GUNBUGS
I do a proofread after they fill out the form. If my customer makes an error, I have them fill out a new form. The forms need to be correct, and legible.
SGT Fish
The ATFs opinion on those questions (blank vs "no") has switched a couple times and has even been "either" at one point. I think the newest version of the form says to leave them blank. But I just use fastbound and it doesn't let the customer put anything there unless they need to

I use electronic form for this reason.
Grasshopper
Hi All, Those are questions on an older revision of the 4473. BATF's latest, August 2023 has made some sensible changes. 21.m.1 "Are you an alien who has been admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa?" (Y/N) and 21.m.2 "If you answered "yes" to question 21.m.1, do you fall within any of the exceptions stated in the instructions?" (Y/N) Nothing like a few changes in the forms to keep us awake! Current August 23 2023 revision: m.1. Are you an alien who has been admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa? (Y/N) m.2. If you answered “Yes” to question 21.m.1, do you fall within any of the exceptions stated in the instructions? Grasshopper The confusing thing is, they put the instruction to "Leave Blank if U.S. citizen" at the end of the question. Most customers read the question, and mark the answer. Simple fix would be to put the instruction at the beginning. Just My 2 cents
