This S&W 76 was sold to the Department of Civil Service State of New York (As engraved in the gun NYS DCS.) Timing of the sale correlate to a short period of time after the Attica Prison riots of 1971. Buy the gun not the story. It was sent to BWE for Trigger Bar work as is common to make these run correctly. Gun was taken to the range on 9-9-2023 and ran perfectly.
