Tim Bogle
This is one of 700 FN D's that were sold to Finland directly from FN in Belgium in February of 1940. They were not issued during the Winter War of 1939-1940. Instead they were issued during the Continuation War (1941-1944). They were first issued to fortification troops and later to coastal troops. The surviving guns were sold to Interarms and exported in 1960. This gun was purchased from Interarms in the late 70's or early 80's. It stayed with that person until 2008 when it was purchased by another individual. I purchased it this year and am now listing it for sale. The pictures pretty much tell the story. There is still grease in and on it from when the Fin's mothballed it. Bore is shiny. It will transfer on eFile Form 3 to another SOT. $60k plus transfer and shipping/insurance. chili17
Odd question. Could you measure the length of the receiver? I have not run into a 7/8mm gun yet but have a couple of 06 FNDs. The 06 receiver is longer and i have never been able to find the actual length of the 7/8mm guns. I can speculate based on adapters I have made, but an exact measurement would be great! Fantastic guns, good luck with the sale!
