STUNNING FN BELGIUM MANUFACTURE CALIBER 7.62X51mm FN/BROWNING, VERY EARLY LIMITED IMPORT 1959-1962.  ONLY 1815 OF THE FN FAL “G” SERIES IMPORTED ARE ATF EXCLUDED FOR OWNERSHIP.

Highly sought after, factory original, very early import serial number G-680 falls within the first 42 of the listed imported numbers that the ATF-NFA excluded.

 “Fabrique Nationale D’Armes De Guerre_Herstal Belique. 7.62x51mm”

1 of the only 1815 listed Federally excluded G series from the National Firearms Act by the Department of the Treasury ATF order Ruling 7540.1 9-11-74.

Fire selector “A S R”.  Firearm is a semi- auto and ATF National Firearms Act exempt as indicated in the excluded serial numbers listed below.

 See pictures for best description.

Based on the complete ownership history, this firearm is believed to be unfired since leaving FN manufacture/Browning. Original magazine, bolt face, internal workings and bore essentially appear to be in excellent condition.

Basically, this FN FAL G was a one owner estate firearm, that was a display draw and attention conversation starter item. Many decades ago, this firearm was carried in and out of a secured storage area for display, before being stored for about 45 plus years. There is some oxidation showing, located likely where both hands carrying this firearm to storage would be. There is some dated dark touchup finish around the hand carrying areas of receiver and adjoining butt stock.  Wood areas contain display marks etc. on the handguard and butt stock. See Pictures. Bore appears excellent as from factory. Two magazines included are the original. More pictures available on request.

(All firearms are sold as is and should be checked out  by a qualified gunsmith before firing.)

This is one I've had since about '85. Photos attached. I'd say the one offered for sale is original finish, but has seen poor storage. The lower on mine is serial number matching to the upper, as the photo shows. The buttstock cup and handguard ring on the offered gun are both pretty rusted/pitted, and the buttstock is stained from the rust bleeding into the wood. Strange he doesn't mention that in his for sale post. If you would like more photos of mine for comparison, shoot me a PM.

Serial number G1809, which I had back in '09, was also marked 7.62. Please show photos of a "308" marked G series FAL. Inquiring minds want to know....The 2 photos I posted are of the gun I currently possess, Note the dates on the photos.

@GUNBUGS, I have the consecutive numbered twin to yours, G1005. What are the odds? They were imported in a group of 170 in March of 1961. Good luck with your sale @Anothergunnut.

Not my gun for sale. Cool to know there is the production mate to mine out there. Thanks!
