WTK M79 PRICE

The $8500 one that didn’t sell was posted buy a seller with 3 A+. Of the 3 sales one was a AR Magazine one was a AR Buffer Tube. The only sale of any value was for a gun to a non rated bidder. Too likely a scam for most experienced bidders. It would be interesting to see if he’s still a seller in a few months.

The problem with that auction is there is NO description of the M79 itself, manufacturer etc. or detailed photos of the markings, just a brief history of the M79. That "open" type recoil pad is VERY early production.

That is a beautiful example for 9.5K

IMHO, TRW and Springfield m79s pull more $$$ than Kannar & Shivak.

If you're talking about the one on GB item # 960056525, honestly, it's really not great.
The receiver markings are barely legible and there seems to be heavy pitting on some parts (trigger guard button, for example).
TRW is known for having rough castings but this one is pretty bad. And the wood doesn't match the condition of some of the metal. I would also be skeptical about the "TRW" triangle stamps and the DAS stamp in the wood. They look too deep, crisp and aligned to me.
