These are used on all kinds of different mounts and applications. Most commonly used on helicopter door guns. They hold 500 rounds of 7.62x51 linked ammo. These are all Mil surplus and did not come with anything like that... So I am unsure if there is a “set way” of loading them... I have sold a bunch and nobody reported any issues with loading them.
