Form 3 to form 4

If your a proprietor and not a Co, LLC, or trust you already own the gun, nothing needs to be done except notify the ATF

that you won't be renewing your SOT.  If or when you decide to sell the gun it would go to the new owner on a tax paid F4.

Of course this assumes that the gun is not a post sample but a transferable or pre May sample.

Hope this helps.

^and if its a pre-May sample it could only be sold to a current SOT holder, correct? That would be Form3 to Form3, no tax paid?

For any Pre-May guns, You will need to F4 it to them (the SOT buyer) and pay the tax since you no longer paid your SOT tax. However, these transfers (even though it is a F4) don't take long at all.
