Eric@PWS
Winchester M14 in very good condition. I purchased this in October of 2008 and sold it to a customer in April of 2009. The customer recently sold me the gun back and it was not fired for the past 7 years. This gun appears to be a DOE gun. I researched this gun and found numerous references to this specific gun in The M14 Rifle History and Development: "The number of former DOE M14 rifles released for sale has been reported as fifteen by a very credible source. Many of these DOE M14 rifles have the symbol # and a number etched on the left side of the receiver above the stock line. These are DOE weapons chit numbers. The numbers were engraved on the receivers at the direction of the DOE Senior Firearms Advisor at the time, Dave Shannon. A second very credible source has observed one DOE M14 rifle etched with # 29. Another seven of these DOE M14 rifles are etched with the following: # 8, # 10, # 12, # 19, # 21 (H & R serial number 1564367), # 22 (H & R serial number 1566863) and # 34 (Winchester serial number 1117145)" http://thefiringline.com/forums/archive/index.php?t-543881.html Form 3 in Texas. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa72/columbo45/Current%20NFA%20for%20sale/m14-1.jpghttp://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa72/columbo45/Current%20NFA%20for%20sale/m14-2.jpghttp://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa72/columbo45/Current%20NFA%20for%20sale/m14-3.jpghttp://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa72/columbo45/Current%20NFA%20for%20sale/m14-4.jpghttp://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa72/columbo45/Current%20NFA%20for%20sale/m14-5.jpghttp://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa72/columbo45/Current%20NFA%20for%20sale/m14-6.jpg
