deansstern@gmail.com
I have a transferable Reising m50 and a few spare barrels. I'd like to either re-thread the existing barrel or rethread one of my spares, for use with an Omega 45K suppressor. It seems to be press-fit and thus beyond my gun-smithing capability and I have never had a transferable worked on before. Might any of ya'll have any suggestions on how to proceed or a GS I might contact? Or maybe this is a terrible idea, and I shouldn't do it at all? I just think it might be a cool suppressor host with the delayed blowback etc.
Ryo
You could have a smith drill a smaller hole into the screw that was used to stake the compensator on it, then they can remove the screw without damaging the original screw thread. Here's a reference talking about it: https://www.smallarmsreview.com/display.article.cfm?idarticles=4066 It is likely you need an custom made adapter to be made. Note I know nothing about it.. just pointing out another option.
deansstern@gmail.com
Yeah, Ryo, Thank you. That's the only source I have seen also. Ideally, I'd like to preserve the original barrel's compensator. They are indeed quite fragile.
