C&R 1918 BAR Marlin Rockwell mfg with what appears to be its original Marlin Rockwell barrel dated 12-18. Original blue finish. This BAR is on consignment from a long time family friend. Ownership has been with the same family for over 40 years. Well taken care of. No pitting issues. The receiver is nice with the typical operating rod take down pin scratch and some areas of thinning blue on the receiver. small dings and scratches as seen in the pics. finish wear on the outside of the trigger housing, sear and internals are excellent. Gas tube has some finish wear and some old bubba wrench marks that could be restored. The original wood stock has some crack and dent repairs. the hand guard has a repaired thin 1.5” crack. Please see the close-up pics of those areas. The barrel has an excellent original blue finish with wear under the front sight. Possibly from a bi-pod. The bore is near excellent, with nice lands and grooves. bolt and internals are VG+ with a small amount of age and use staining. The inside of the receiver including the rails and bolt way is in very nice condition. The flash hider is a WWII type. Comes with one magazine as pictured.
