IGC Posted March 15, 2016 Report Share Posted March 15, 2016 (edited) I have for sale 2 Wards Westernfield 12 guage shotguns. Made by Stevens for Montgomery Wards. Not necessarily collectible but listed here for lack of a pump/ bolt/ board and due to their age. The shorter one is a Wards Model 30 aka Stevens Model 520. It has the older style "humpback" receiver and was made in the late 1920's. It has an 18.5 inch barrel. Condition is decent. There is no rust but there are some pits on the exterior. Bore is good & shiny. This one has a hair trigger. I'm not kidding, if you breath on it hard or even look at it wrong it will discharge. Needs a little attention for that reason and is priced as such. It is C&R eligible and is $89.00 SPF** (Both have been re-blued and the stock on the shorter one refinished.) The other longer one has a 30" barrel and is a later model of the Wards Model 30 aka Stevens 520. This one was made in the late 1930's and is nearly identical in construction/ design as the other with the exception that the receiver does not have the "hump" and the safety was moved to the rear instead of being forward of the trigger. Condition is good. This one has no rust and very little exterior pitting. Bore is good and shiny and it functions flawlessly.
