These were used on Huey Helicopters during the Vietnam war and for a long period after. It holds 400 rounds of 7.62x51 Ammunition. Ammunition chute attaches to the side to feed your weapon. This unit is exactly how I received it. It has a windowed lid on it so the gunner can observe how much ammunition he has left. These have always been very hard to find.
