  • 1921/1928AC (U.S. Navy Overstamped) Colt’s Thompson

This is considered a Shooter grade Colt Thompson

This gun, NO 7204 was stripped of most of its Colt Parts and was rebuilt with G.I. Parts. All or almost all of the original Colt parts have been removed and replaced by GI or other non-original parts. The receiver and frame are Colt's and matching but have been refinished with what appears to be a gray parkerized finish. NO 7204 is from the Village of Port Chester, New York Police Department. It is believed the police department owned NO 7204 for a long time but no documentation exists as to the details of the original purchase or acquisition. It is also unknown when all the above changes to NO 7204 occurred. Study the pictures carefully and do not hesitate to ask questions.

The following information is from Gordon Herigstad's 6th Edition, Colt Thompson Submachine Gun Serial Numbers & Histories.
