MEW
Since the latest craze of the "shockwave" is there really any reason to keep a 14" 590 as an AOW or just remove it and put the birdshead grip? Basically not really saleable because of the hassle incurred with the NFA even with it only being $5. Also I guess I can just put a birdshead on it interchangeably for travel etc. and keep in in the registry right?
Gunsmith86
You could offer it for sale first, and give the buyer the option. If they don't want to receive it as an AOW, then transfer it as a Title I firearm and send NFA Branch a letter after the sale. Yes you can interchange status if it remains yours.
MEW
thanks gunsmith, wouldn't make sense to sell since the shockwaves are less than $300 bucks I'm going to just use it as designed.

Yes, turn it into an accurate weapon That is a pleasure to shoot. Form 1, Short Barrel Shotgun. Those shockwaves are practically useless as far as accuracy and they are brutal to shoot 3' magnum rounds .
MEW
I would but I'm done with the NFA for many reasons but agree you would only be in for pain with 3" and not sure why you would even try it to be honest.........
