Answer: The L-39 users manual does not describe buffer change and sadly I have never seen an armory/armorer service manual giving guidelines. Based on use and rounds fired one could RKI-guess that; - The cartridge case buffer (rubber) should be changed after first signs of wear and deformation (parts of rubber missing etc.) so that one does not end up with badly dented ejected brass cases or having an uncontrolled "bounce path" of the case if hitting bare metal upon ejection. - The bolt buffer (rubber) should be changed if showing deformation upon inspection after 200 normal cartridges fired, or if bolt carrier seems to hit (metal on metal) increasingly hard during maximum rearward cycle. ---- Look at how controlled the cartridge case ejection is when case buffer rubber is doing its job; SOLD ITEMS: SOLD : EMPTY MAGAZINE CARRY BOX for 20mm Lahti L-39 at-rifle Very good condition and original 1940's accessory for 20x138Bmm VKT L-39 "Lahti" anti-tank rifle Size 310mm x 260mm x 150mm, made of steel with plywood inserts, canvas carry sling Fits two L-39 magazines, correct SA markings on parts Price for Empty Carry Box is 176.00 $ (free shipping) SOLD : 10ctg MAGAZINE for 20mm Lahti L-39 at-rifle Top condition and original magazine for 20x138Bmm VKT L-39 "Lahti" anti-tank rifle Size 250mm x 250mm x 65mm, made of steel, fits 10 cartridges, has window for ctg check Original WW2 part made in Finland by VKT Price for One Magazine is 124.00 $ (free shipping) Edited September 1, 2019 by W.R.C. from E.U.
