  1. Full auto so more is better ammunition wise. Thank you. And yes, $5,000+/- is serious money for an accessory (sp)
  2. Many thanks. I have been thinking about buying a Shrike. Do you think it it a good addition?
  3. https://www.targetsportsusa.com/sellier-bellot-rifle-training-30-06-springfield-ammo-180-grain-fmj-sb3006a-p-112052.aspx S&B 180gr FMJ Is this safe to shoot in a Nesa BAR? I have been using S&B 150gn Garand ammo but would like to use the heavier S&B,... safe or not? I could use your input. Thanks - Chappy
  4. The FN G1 came in on Friday. It is much better than I thought and will be taking it out on Tuesday for a test run with the BAR. I want to thank you all for your input about the "Keeper" I went on an FAL forum to get some manufacture dating and I came back to Sturm with new appreciation,... what a shit show. Just wading through all the crap is a daunting task. Again,... thanks for your assistance. Chappy
  5. For years now, I have been getting calls for $ from the NRA. I would explain that I am a Life Member and no more money till Wayne was gone. Now begins the rebuilding. Support FPC and GOA.
  6. Turkish 1911s are getting a good reputation. You can buy 3 Tisas for the same price as one of the bigger name guns, and get a product that is fully the equal of the expensive one resting on its laurels. Turkish guns are doing a much better job but you really can'y compare the pistols to a Dan Wesson as a semi hand fitted or a Wilson Combat, Nighthawk or any other hand fit pistol. It is not fair to Tisas to try and it just shows someone is not handling upper end firearms. I tell people wanting to spend 5-6 hundred on a 1911 to look at the Tisas or other Turkish guns because (My own opinion) Kimber isn't worth the money and the reputation is 30 years outdated.
  7. Thank you for the great communication and follow through.
  8. Reichstall brings up a great time in gun show history. Last show I wnt to was in 2010 and was amazed at the prices and non gun related crap being sold. so I didn't go for another 13 until I needed to get rid of some inventory. I sold at a fair price and did well but prices were high for most things. It seems the internet has made everyone think they can polish a turd and sell it for big bucks. It is only worth what someone will pay at that time, in that location. It was also strange that someone would be excited to buy or trade but when they found out I had my FFL they ran, not waled away.. I still believe that the internet has made all prices national not regional.
  9. I just purchased some Chipolo card and chips. Could have used it last week as I shipped off an MP5. Great idea and much appreciated.
  10. Great idea Aaron. Shipping 2 Thompson 1928s and they stayed in the same location for 4 days (100 miles away) I was concerned and the Air Tags would have helped eleviate my concerns.
  11. Not new to full auto but very green to SOT.
  12. Pretty fuddy. What is the worst thing that could happen? I contest the auction. $5,600 for a FN FAL doesn't seem too bad. I am not new to full auto just to SOT so fuds can cool your jets. I got something I had been looking for; it fell in my lap and I either had to jump on it or pass. I jumped and I got the FN forless than half ($14,000+) one I was bidding on last month ended selling for. Considering I bid $10,000 for it I think I came out ahead.
