I bought a C&R STEN MKIII in 2021 for $8K and learned what I liked and didn’t like by using mine and going to clubs that allowed full autos and talking with people. I traded up to an MP40 in October 2022 and just got my approval stamp through for it a couple weeks ago. My two cents is find the best for your price range and you can always trade up later… you’ll have another wait, but it gets you into the door and your feet wet.

Acquired a nice MP38 bolt, but wait, someone deactivated with weld on the bolt face. Any suggestions on who I could send this to and have the face cleaned up and re-drilled for firing pin to make it useable again? Thanks for the direction!

For your consideration is this uncommon WWII German era police Luger. These 1942 chamber dated P.08s with the mauser banner are uncommon and highly sought after. I have a story that was given to me of how this pistol was “acquired” but no vets name to accredit it to. Luger is mostly matching, with the exception of the trigger which is serial number 34 as compared to he rest of the gun which is serial 33. Previous trigger was strawed blue, found an appropriate blued trigger to replace with and just one number away. Proper dark bluing and flat top 3 which was proper for this year. The FXO stamped magazine is matched to the gun with a “1” indicating it was the primary magazine and would be proper to a police Luger. Note the final 3 in the mag, I’m not sure if this was a flaw, erosion, forced restamp,etc. Grips are not numbered, but do have a “V” stamped inside. All other parts are matching with proper 33 serial down to the firing pin, please see photos. Barrel has nice rifling and grips are free of cracks. Some finish loss as show , I was told this is blood rust/outing from “acquisition”, I’m normally not inclined to believe story’s but gun in hand it’s convincing. For your consideration is this “Panel Cut” AC44. Receiver and bolt exterior match but the rest of the parts are a mix master. Rifle was a sporter rescue and was installed into the current polish stock (not a fox). Fits and functions, but could fine tune if a guy really wanted to. Hood site and cleaning rod are also repros but match well. Front band had the sling keeper removed but doesn’t affect function in any way. Rifle includes one original magazine as well as one repro magazine which was filed to fit. Rifle has a great bore and has a shooters kit currently installed. Original parts will also be included. It’s a beautiful rifle overall but deciding to move on and put towards a motorcycle instead. $2950 + shipping or $2700 + shipping with only the one repro magazine.
