  1. Seems to me maybe a wire transfer bank to bank would be the safest. You can’t even trust checks anymore. Last year I bought a couple guns from someone (a legit dealer) and mailed him a couple personal checks totaling over 65k. I wrote these checks out of a checking acct I rarely ever use. In fact other than those gun checks, the only other check I wrote out of that acct the whole year was to my kids private school. Since I don’t use that acct often I also don’t check it. I happened to notice an email last October that came from Bank of America saying my wire transfer was complete. When I logged in to that acct I noticed over the last 2-3 months over $40,000 had been stolen from the acct using ach check purchases, wire transfers, etc. There were a few different people using the acct info to buy whatever they wanted including paying off credit cards(prob stolen cards to keep the card working) Home Depot purchases, one guy in Florida even paid his health insurance with it. I did get the police involved and it took a few weeks and several hours on the phone with Bank of America but they did give the money back to me. I can’t remember the exact time frame but it was either 60 or 90 days you had to report the fraud and it was one day beyond that when I noticed it. Being a premium platinum account holder for many years they said they would make it right and give the money back. They did. Well somewhere someone got my checking routing and acct number and that’s all they needed. Some micro deposits were made and verified for certain transactions which makes me believe it was an inside job with banking personnel. I think the dealer I sent the checks to took the checks to the bank and there might have been a dirty teller seeing large checks from out of state and shared the info with people they knew who possibly worked in the banking industry maybe with the same bank. Who knows I ca. only speculate. Even personal checks aren’t safe anymore. It boggles me that banks don’t use a proprietary encrypted barcode system on checks rather than printing actual acct info on the check. Just my personal experience.
  2. Be careful when posting your email address guys. Scammers look for this so they can contact you posing as the original seller. It’s more safe to post a reply and attach your contact info in a PM. I was recently the victim of ach check fraud and didn’t notice until 40k was drained from my checking acct. thankfully the bank covered me on it. Just be careful everywhere now days. These dirtbags will do anything to steal a dollar.
  3. Well when an ak47 is listed in a public forum for over a quarter million dollars you can expect people to ask questions. I don’t think anyone has any ill intentions towards you or your ad. Personally I see no upside as a nfa investment at 260k, so I’m out. Best of luck with your sale. I’m certain there’s a billionaire out there that just has to have it.
  4. 200 cans of linked bmg is a lot to carry up in to an attic. Lol.
  5. I’ve never done business with komodoj but I wouldn’t hesitate buying a used car from him based on his feedback on here. Probably a machine gun too.
  6. They are pre-86 dealer samples. So no. The very first sentence in his ad says available to current ffl/sot only.
  7. I first saw this ad moments after you posted I’ll take it shiklg. I thought to myself wow that was a nice deal. I missed that one. I have two brand new unfired pre sample imi uzis in original boxes and thought this would make a nice addition to the collection.
  8. Was BMCs acct credentials hacked here or did a scammer try to intercept payment on a legit ad? It’s confusing to say the least but I wouldn’t be sending anyone money on this gun unless everything is confirmed. If someone does end up getting this I’ll buy some mags from them lol.
  9. Wow that’s crazy! BMC appears to be a legitimate user here. This type of correspondence appears to indicate his account log in credentials maybe have been compromised? What state does the seller claim to be in ? If in Virginia I’m happy to help verify what’s needed. The nfa toys we buy and sell is a rich man’s game now. I find it highly unlikely someone selling a machine gun needs to have money wired to a “red flag” account to help pay for emergency bills or expenses that have come up. Protect yourself and protect each other.
  10. This reminds me of when Ruger was doing warranty work on some AC556 guns and replaced them with the new guns with the same serial under warranty. Apparently the atf was unhappy hearing of this and since then Ruger won’t touch an AC556 for warranty work. I don’t recall the exact details but there were a few ac556 guns replaced that people still have. Loose lips sink ships
  11. Brian what part of Va? I have a ffl / sot in va and can assist with your transfer if needed. I’m about 30 min west of Richmond.

Thanks Andy. Keeping my eyes peeled for a complete transferable.
  13. I’m sorry you got burned. I’d rather pass up a deal if my instinct tells me it’s too good to be true or if anything seems fishy about it. With that said, I hope this helps. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/950004882 This seller is as honest as they come and has been around for a while.
  14. It seems to me like an agency could protest that a demo is not only for department usage of the firearm in question, but to further educate all personnel on the distinct differences between the actual machine guns and the civilian friendly semi auto counterparts. There are a variety of semi auto only belt fed firearms available to civilians. It would be a shame for an officer or entire department to not know the difference.
  15. If the price is fair and it makes you happy, buy it. If you don’t there’s a good chance you’ll look back on this post 2-5 years from now and think damn. I should’ve bought that. A good friend who’s a very big player in the machine gun business told me the best time to buy a machine gun is today. Ask the question next year or the year after and the answer will always be the same.
  16. It makes me sick. Fortunately most people who have been in the mg game for a while know that if a deal is too good to be true, its a scam. If someone has had a mg since the 80s and selling it cheap , he likely doesn’t use or know what Zelle is and surely doesn’t know where the current nfa marketplaces are online. It’s the new buyers looking to enter this market who get taken by these scammers. I’ve noticed most scammers that keep emailing me stolen listings usually price guns 20-30% below market.
  17. Cjbguns (Carson) is an outstanding person to do business with. I purchased a couple guns he listed here and he has been honest and transparent through the entire process. The guns arrived and were nicer than I expected. He is an honest and good man. Do not hesitate or worry when the time comes to send this man a check. Thanks again for everything Carson!
  18. That’s good stuff right there. I’ll happily verify anything in Virginia for anyone.
  19. I read through this and it didn’t surprise me that I received some of the same emails from the same people the last few years. This is getting out of control. I’m pretty sure every ffl/sot out there has no problem sending payment directly to the name and address on the license. All licenses should be verified too. I’ve found that every legit person on this business has no problem sharing a phone number and ffl and having a conversation with you. I recently posted a wtb ad for a 1919 and was sent a pm offering a semi auto. I replied I was looking for a transferable and suddenly he has one of those too. I asked a few questions and he never replied again. I’m sure they troll the wtb forum. It’s almost guaranteed you’ll be contacted by a scammer if you post an email there. Everyone just be careful and follow your instinct.
  20. That’s a nice piece you have. I know someone who might have some interest. I’ll check and send them your way if they do.

  22. I’ll take it. Thank you once again.
