Sorry if there is already a great source for finding this info, but the guides I found are coming up a bit short/are outdated with regards to how much some of this stuff can be found for used in the case of pushers/shells/chalk proj and how much some of the blanks are costing nowadays and suggested sources for any of this stuff. I was hoping to print anything I can to save per round with the goal being to just have some fun, ammo to plink through an M203 with it being even better if it can be chalk rounds so I can see when they hit downrange. I’m just now getting started and don’t have anything fully figured out so any advice on what you would do if you were starting from scratch is really appreciated.

Picked up a full-auto Glock 17 that is an old La Crosse Police firearm. The switch needs a new spring and detent pin. Robert and Hathleen Lange did the conversion. Would love to see if Robert has the needed parts, but I can't find any contact info. The spring is a strong 2.5mm by 7mm, similar to an ejector spring in strength. Any suggestions on a donor spring? The detent I can fabricate out of an old drill bit.

Every now and then I like to make posts like this... They are good for business. People (including aspiring M60 owners) google everything M60 and they come across these posts... Which often leads to conversations and business.
Doing some M60e3 work tonight and I (as I always do) realize how much I enjoy this version of the gun.... The standard version of the M60 was the primary medium machine gun for all branches of the US Military throughout Vietnam and many years after...Design flaws were identified very early on but it's what they had, and the Military just dealt with it... Until the 1980s... Saco Defense was the primary manufacture for the M60 and they did not want to loose their massive contracts. They began working toward reducing the weight of the weapon and eliminating the design flaws that the standard version had. I believe they had knowledge that the Military was also eyeing up the M240......
So, in 1985 Saco Defense introduced the M60e3 Machine gun. It was the lightest version of the M60 ever made (still is) weighing in at 18.75 Lbs. This was in comparison to the 23.15 Lbs of the standard M60.... It also corrected most of the major design flaws, like being able to charge the weapon with the top cover closed.
The Marine Corps and the Navy adopted the M60e3 right away. The Army and the Air Force would choose to keep their standard Vietnam configuration M60s.....The Marine Corps, being the marksmen we are, chose a longer barreled version of the M60e3....It was all they used.... While the Navy saw an advantage to the short barreled M60e3.
After going into service, the weight reduction of the E3 was enjoyed, but grunts (depending on who you talk to) did not like how the thin barrels handled heat compared to the old thick standard M60 barrels. Many Marine Corps Units would use their e3s with old standard barrels. Many grunts also complained about the flimsiness of the gun.... Of Course, opinons vary... and many many many guys absolutely loved them.
The Navy loved their M60s... So much so that they kept them in service even after all branches dropped them. Well into the mid 2000s..

While the new deigns shaved weight and were nice guns, that did not help the reliability issues. Bolts chipping and breaking for one.... In 1989 the M240 and M60 / M60e3 went head to head... Reliability trials had begun (I have an original box from the M60 Saco sent for this testing. Photo below). The M240 would significantly outperform the M60 during this extensive testing..... All branches of the Military would adapt the FN M240 ... By the mid 1990s the vast majority of M60s were taken out of service.
After that, Saco Defense would close in 1997. General Dynamics would carry on in the same facility, but the 60s were no more ... There was a handful of people who got to go to the Saco Defense plant and purchase remaining inventory and tooling.... Including Curtis Debord, who founded US Ordnance in 1997 and picked up production of the M60.......
I have a Type 1 FFL with a Class 3 SOT and a few pre-mays on the Type 1 FFL, I've had a Type 8 FFL for a few years and was thinking getting an Class 1 SOT for my Type 8 FFL. My questions are:

	1) Will the Class 1 SOT cover both the Type 1 FFL as well since the Class 1 SOT is "a higher level SOT".

	2) I am under the impression that a business only needs one SOT per location and it would cover the FFLs there provided it is the right class, such as the Class 3 SOT I currently have would not cover the Type 8 as the Type 8 FFL would be a Class 1 SOT but the Class 1 would cover the Type 1 FFL as if you are importing, you are also dealing etc and the Class 1 is encompassing enough to cover both import and dealing activities.

	3) If I drop the Class 3 SOT, do I need to transfer the Pre-Mays to my Type 8 FFL or since they are Pre-Mays, I could just leave them on the current FFL or LLC the FFL is under since even if you drop your SOT, you can keep the Pre-Mays as long as what ever entity that houses them still exists.

Just want to make sure I have all lined up before paying for the Class 1 SOT and dropping the Class 3 SOT.

	Thanks

I remember seeing one of these at the Creek back in 1999 but haven't seen or heard of one. how many of them are out there that are transferable? also, any idea of what one would go for if there is one for sale? Figuring no parts available other than having to fabricate and would need to figure out a mounting system if someone wanted to shoot it from a tripod etc.

Bought a lower from them 2.5 years ago, super smooth transaction with no issues. At the same time the owner said he was tooling up to make 5.56 generic Fightlite barrels. I have been contacting him about every 6 months and after about 1.5 years, he offered me two for the same price to keep my order alive. I now see that they are actively advertising and selling them on the website. I left several messages and emailed their customer service over the last few weeks and have been ghosted. Just curious if anyone else has had the same experience or know if this place is still in operation?

Just received a transferable Springfield bush length factory folder m14 thats BRAND NEW.

ATF confiscated it 40 years ago and a judge recently ordered it sold and I got it.

How rare, Springfield Armory made 470 m14's for civilian use before 1986. Of those 470 , 27 where bush length, and within those 27 only 11 where folding stock.

So the question do I wipe off cosmoline and shoot it or leave it new in box.

Sorry if this isnt the right place to ask this but what is the market like for semi auto PKM rifles? Im sure it varies wildly but I have a Bowman arms receiver and the other major components are new US made. Im into the kit for $4,500 and have a builder ready for $3,000 but I'm wondering if Semi autos can be had for less than $7,500 and I should just sell the parts kit to a FA builder. Any thoughts?
