New gun/accessory ban...not looking too good for us fella's

Location:

21 posts in this topic

If the scuttlebutt floating around the Metro D.C. is even close to being accurate, we may be looking at another 1994 style assault weapon ban PLUS accessories (mags, triggers and on and on) and very soon  too, like days, not weeks or months. I have well placed friends that are gov employees, and one who is a State Dept. diplomat,  this fucking nonsense we all heard about is precisely what is being proposed as new laws... not just kicking a can down the road. It's more real than it ever was.

It's a very sad day for conservative, Law abiding gun owners.

It seems we have been betrayed by the very guy that swore allegiance to the Constitution, and our Constitutional rights, specifically mentioning our 2nd amendment rights while campaigning, and his dedication to our rights. That statement now looks and sounds like total bullshit to me. In my 64 years I've never seen such betrayal by a President WE PUT INTO OFFICE! I'm hoping this was some kind of ploy to put off the demorats, but that's probably not so. My advice to anyone who wants an AR platform weapon or an AK type weapon to buy now. Also buy all the high cap mags you can afford right now. This is not chicken little, the sky is falling. The sky really is getting ready to fall on all of us for real. I'm in total disbelief. Fucked by one of our own. This really is colluding with the enemy, the anti gun enemy. U.F.B.

Ok guys go to the Military Arms Channel on YouTube. Look for the interview with Rick Vasquez, former assistant director of the ATF. Listen to what he has to say about what's in store concerning this upcoming rule change for rate of fire, magazines and probably much more. You'll be blown away by what he has to say, and probably deeply concerned. Looks like it's Jeff Sessions aka Mr. McGoo that is selling us out, no doubt at someone else's  request. This is P.F. serious.

This is why I didn't vote for the orange haired idiot! He's a lib through and through. I was told by so many that I wasted my vote, well I can say that I didn't put him in office so I'm ok with that.

Also bush sr did the same kinda bullshit after the NRA put him in office. Gee... anybody else think they suck at picking candidates???

Very sad times, at least for us that actually have our heads screwed on correctly.

The left is so Wacked out at this point, who knows what will be the final outcome, I hope it is not as bad as we think it will be?

It's apparent you've not kept up with the news. This is not opinion, it's plain fact for all to se and listen to. Watch the latest bi-partisan news conference with Diane Fineswine concerning the new gun control proposals. DO you even watch the news? You do get TV reception in Montana..right? I realize it takes a little more time for news to filter out to remote locations.

Ok put him on the list too. That was before my time. The point is EVERY gun law is an infringement! This moron in chief is no better.

Agreed and this current President gave his word to us while running for office before we helped elect him. Being true believers in the Constitution, including the 2nd amendment, we took him at his word. In the beginning his presidency it appeared he would adhere to his publicly stated position on guns and gun control. Unfortunately his position has changed after the last shooting in Florida. I supported Trump because I believed in what he said.

After his 180 degree turnaround on gun control, which was broadcast publicly, live on TV  I have huge concerns about everything he now says about guns and gun control.

He ANNOUNCED THAT "DIANE" SHOULD ADD HER ASSAULT WEAPONS LANGUAGE TO THE PROPOSED BILL BEING DISCUSSED AT THAT MEETING".

So WTF are we supposed to take away from that statement? Sure sounds like a betrayal to me. Why is he even talking to the demorats, it's not necessary.  The Republicans own the house and senate.

Trump plays fast and loose with the truth concerning everything that comes out of his mouth. What concerns me is the adulation seeking. The fact that he is now getting that adulation from politicians and press that has up to this point caused him nothing but aggravation unnerves me. Take for example the mood at last nights Gridiron Club Dinner.

Flat out, he's a liar. He's not anything like he said he was, which is why I didn't vote for him. Libs will always be libs and he is one. I only hope we do better in 2020

Well I can appreciate your opinion, but I'm not yet ready to go quite that far. To be fair, on other important issues he has done more for this countries economy than the communist baboon and the tranny fist lady/dude ever did.

They almost destroyed our country after 8 years of socialist rule by decree. They also left a lot of collateral damage.

Glad to be rid of that POS and the tranny. Problem is he and his liberal cohorts left lots of high placed co-conspirators in every branch of the government, including judges. That does make it hard for Trump to operate and fulfill his agenda, including campaign promises on the 2nd amendment.

That said there is absolutely ZERO excuse for taking suggestions from ANY of these putrid, commie Demorats wanting to push draconian gun law change. NONE!

I agree he's not "as bad" as that house monkey(not the word I normally use)  but that in no way makes him goof. Like I've always said picking the lesser of two evils is no way to pick a leader!

I understand futures are up and that's great but will it last? Also I don't give two rat turds if my 401k does 20 percent if the same guy bans ars!!

I agree on all points.

Switching gears again...I wish more gun owners would understand how serious this latest politically driven attempt to disarm American gun owners really is right now. We live in the country( slowly being destroyed by new homes for liberal yankee morons, that don't like guns or cows!) but still only 45 min. from D.C. Since we are so close to the Capital, we get to hear everything political as it happens and the amount of news is voluminous, every single day. People become desensitized to all of this and believe it's just another blow over, it will go away in a few days. I really hope I'm wrong , but this one isn't going to blow over. The Soros/Bloomberg funded org's are working overtime this time to strike a fatal blow to the 2nd amendment.

I hope I'm totally wrong on this.

I certainly don't get that kinda info here in Kansas but I totally agree most 'gun guys' are pretty ignorant to what is going on. Hell half of them here in the air capital work aircraft and are in the UNION! I have a good friend who I used to shoot with weekly, union lifer, who refuses to even acknowledge what his dues pay for! That blows my mind....

Just to place things in context which is rarely done for whatever reason(s) - Reagan signed at the strong urging of the gun lobby, specifically NRA & GOA (and maybe some other smaller units I'm missing) which had determined that a small inconvenience of a firearm ban was not going to derail seven years of work on the FOPA.  Had he vetoed it, he would be labeled anti-gun then and now.

The NRA is now advocating for ATF to get the authority to ban via regulation rather than requiring it to get through congress.  I have written a nice letter asking for the thought process and anticipated benefits to gun owners both present and future if this occurs.  Hopefully it will rationalize what appears irrational unless viewed through the prism of fundraising potential (the gun lobby is a business first and foremost).

Lt R.L .

Sir,

Yes, you are very correct,  I do watch the news and TV reception is nonexistent in many a mountainside bunkers around the  4th largest state in the Union. I find when TV reception is intercepted,  the fake news  to be most revolting spewing the liberal socialist communist  terrorist propaganda  . Unfortunately foolish  viewers take  this for real news.

It indeed takes weeks for the latest trends to reach the continental divide.

By the time it reaches  me it's real news not FAKE.

Yes, the sky is Falling. I first noticed it in the early  Sixty's . It has been a  continued assault on our 2nd Amendment Rights ... for as long as I  can remember.

My news sources out here in the wilderness  include: www.drudgereport.com,www.infowars.com,www.hagmannandhagmann.com,www.wnd.com

You have every liberal website screaming about how it’s time to repeal the second amendment.

I can at least respect the "repeal the second amendment" crowd for adhering to the rules.  Meanwhile, back at the ranch the ban via regulation tactic is moving ahead.  Normal time frame for a regulation change is 7 years.  Maybe this one will go a tiny bit quicker?

THEY ALL SUCK! and always HAVE don't believe that, look in your old American rifleman from day one. just change the names and the dates and the plea's for funds and articles still fit. as long as folks cling to the belief we are a "democracy" and NOT A CONSTITUTONAL REPUBLIC we will be where we are. when those bas*rds swear to uphold the constitution when taking office and then try to change it, they should be kicked out and LOCKED UP  no matter what "party".  who's FIRST?
