BoomDoc
Available for sale is my excellent condition Sterling L2A3 (MK4) sub machine gun. This gun is not a conversion and was built from the ground up on a Wilson tube using a virgin parts kit. It was finished with the correct black crinkle style paint and bears all original factory markings. The stock lock up is tight as are all other components. This has been a safe queen and as far as I can tell is unfired aside from the test rounds following its construction. I rate the condition at 98% with only minor marks from storage and stock manipulation. The Form 4 lists the model as the original L2A3 designation, an uncommon rarity for those seeking a Sterling as close to factory original as possible. That coupled with the unique serial number 1 would make this a fantastic addition to any high grade collection. The gun is on a from 4 in Wisconsin, payment in full starts the paperwork, all shipping / fees / stamps are on the buyer. Local buyers are welcome to inspections with an appointment. Contact me as outlined below with any questions. **Manufacturer: Wilson Arms Company** **This is not a Sten conversion** **Additional detailed photos are available upon request** Price: $17,000 OBO - SPF Shipping: Actual Price Contact: Private message or email at bevisblack15NOSPAM@yahoo.com (remove NOSPAM) Edited August 22, 2018 by BoomDoc

From the research that I have done it looks like Andrewski was doing work for Wilson over the period that this was most likely built. As such I have compared it side by side to my Andrewski DLO gun and the work is nearly identical. This came out of a long time collection and was originally purchased in the early 90s from a dealer by the previous owner. The form 4 from that time lists all of the same information. Below is a side by side image of the cocking slot on an Andrewski DLO gun in comparison to the Wilson for reference (DLO on the left, Wilson on the right). If either of you have any more specific questions or would like additional photos feel free to either email or message me as outlined above. Tall Pine
My understanding is that Wilson did make Sterling specific tubes, denoted with a s/n beginning with "L", and they were built by many folks as either Sterlings or Swedish Ks. My virgin Wilson "L" tube was built into a K gun by John Andrewski a few years ago (fabulous work) and the original F3 from back in the 1980s lists what BoomDoc says....L2A3. Andrewski then added an additional description to his F3 saying it was assembled with a Swedish M-45 parts kit. Below are a few before and after pics. Tall Pine
I dont think so, never heard of a Sten tube made into a Swedish K. However some Sten tubes were modified and built into psuedo-Sterlings known as "Stenlings". As far as Wilson goes, he made a regular Sten type tube, and also a Sterling/K type tube. The tubes with a s/n starting with an "L" are the Sterling/K specific tubes. These "L" s/n tubes could be made into a Sterling or a Swedish K, builders choice.
