 Thanks for your interest in my parts kit. As you can see in the linked photos this is a February 1941 Kokura gun and bears markings indicating its status as a Type 96. Kokura production of the Type 99 did not begin until 1942 which would rule that out by date range alone. Additionally this style of barrel locking pin with shim configuration is a well documented variant of the 96 as cited by William Easterly in a number of his publications.
