Have a transferrable cut/welded PPSH 41 that has never run well.  I believe the trunnion in installed out of spec.

Who is the guru of PPSH's?

Thanks for the Boards!

I recommend AMAFrank (he post on several boards for NFA) for the work. He took a POS reweld Ppsh41 for me and reworked it into a like new gun that runs great.

Thanks Man, turns out I dont need the Smith. With help from another board I figured out the problem and she runs like a champ.  Used a dremel to relieve where the bolt was contacting the ejector.  I think the trunnion is set a bit too far forward.

Thanks for the Boards!

Do you mind sharing the link to the board you received the info from?

Hi SD:

Had a reply on Bowers board about bolt contacting the ejector, I think its gone now, but I relieved the ejector and it worked for awhile.

Any way, gun ran for about 50 rounds, then stovepipes and empties falling back into receiver.  Now I see a crack where it was welded.

Still looking for the right Smith.

Did you ever find a smith for your PPSh 41?  I just got mine back from http://www.mhgunsmithing.com/   Mine is a C&R but it experienced every type jam you can think of; T jam, stovepipe, and would just stop firing.  Anyway, Mike Hane fixed it, he said it was a bolt-extractor-ejector problem.  Runs great now.
