I have the final soloution to mounting a NATO rail optic on your Sterling SMG L2A3 Never before available, Mil-Spec produced by Gov't cntrator complete with mounting hardware to allow you favorite sight to be mounted on the Sterling SMG. see pics below! Doesn't interfere with front sight, you can still see the tip easily when no sight mounted.!

In New condition, complete 75.00 plus 6.00 shipping  (Only a few sets available.)

I emailed the OP last week and he's pretty sure he's out of stock (this was from 2016) but he's checking.

All you need to do is get a couple of 3,4,or 5 inch add on keymod or mlock rails and put them on your gun.

I too suffered your dilemma until I was looking through a box of spares and found the solution!
