Craigan
Some news from the NRA symposium is kinda neat: Colt plans to release semi auto variants of every rifle they fielded during Vietnam. They look great, and now we'll have new type 01, 02, GAU and A1 uppers. Of course the XM carbines are still 16 inchers. But it will be nice to have replacement parts for some of our transferables from the company who originally made most of them. Remember when gunny's surplus has complete A1 uppers for 350? Those vanished fast. Check it out here http://soldiersystems.net/2016/05/21/nra-colt-classic/ Edited May 23, 2016 by Craigan
philasteen
Be nice if they made some new XM177 moderators.

pa123guns
Anyone know if the Colt lowers on these guns will accept a DIAS?
Craigan
That's a good question. At the worst, they'll only have that webbing that they did in the late 90s. That can be machined if need be. Those old "colt guard" green and white label rifles just look sad. Call me optimistic, but it seems to me that they'd set up their tooling to the old specs of the A1 and SP1 type, and not try to mix in new methods. If they're doing that, may as well leave the shelves just as they were back then. Edited June 14, 2016 by Craigan
