Welcome to the new Sturmgewehr.com Ammunition Market Board!  Those of you who have been on the board for any amount of time know that we have only had 4 market boards since the site began on 6/25/99, so this is kind of a big deal.

Ammunition has been sold on the boards in the past, but the appropriate place to post it has always been a best guess effort.  The Parts/Accessories Board made the most sense in the past.  Now you don't have to think about it much...Ammo now has its own board.

When buying/selling ammunition, it is always good to know the following:

  • Is it corrosive?
  • How old is it?
  • Who made it, and what is its country of origin?
  • Is it reloaded?
  • Is it Berdan or Boxer primed?
  • What will it cost to ship it to me?

Buyers should take all appropriate precautions when purchasing ammunition.  Know exactly what you are buying and agreeing to.  If it's surplus ammunition, know that it may have been stored in less than optimal conditions for decades.  But at your own risk.  If you're going to use it in a $30K NFA firearm, you probably only want to shoot well known, commercially available ammunition brands.  Remember, one squib load can be costly and dangerous!

We hope you enjoy the new Ammunition Market Board, and it will help clear space on other boards for items that more closely match the forums in which they are posted.

Thanks!

David Albert
