Talking standard gas operated M16, is dumping a 30 round mag non stop hurting anything ??  I'm sure doing it multiple times will overheat something or melt the gas tube,  wondering where that line is where you start damaging the gun ???

I did a beta mag dump with a post sample and it super heated the gas tube to where the bolt smacked it and bent to tube under the hand guard. Not recommended if you don't like fixing things. But 30 rounds I've never had an issue. Then I'll let it cool a bit before continuing on.

you dont damge the gun per se, just the gas tube or barrel, lower receiver will be fine no matter the abuse.
