Rebel Rifle Ordnance LLC
Hi, I picked up a "Johnson Automatics" Model of 1941 at a gunshow this weekend and am looking for information and estimated value of it. The S/N is B1863. On the left back of the receiver it has "Granston Arms Co." With the a Garand erosion tool, the barrel ME is less than one and at the throat the "II" mark is even at the shoulder of the bore. The stock has a little chip on it and it appears to have non military front sights and buttplate. Any information and idea what this gun is worth or will bring on Gunbroker would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Edited May 23, 2022 by Rebel Rifle Ordnance LLC
johnsonlmg41
It's a JSAR sporter. How the barrel gauges is not all that relevant since it's a replacement and not an original military bbl. Value right now might be up to 3500 on a good day with a guy dreaming he can get the parts to take it back to original? Getting over 3K would be a bonus, but it's GB, and you never know? Originals bring about double. Unfortunately the parts required to restore it seem to be long gone or deeply hidden. Still a nice shooter. Take that and a Garand out and shoot them side x side, you'll be impressed. Cranston arms. HTH

It's 8mm but still an original military barrel.
Thumpy
I was offered one that was in a little rougher condition then this one last year for 2300. So I’d say 2500-2800 probably would be a good range for this gun. In my opinion.
