gftiv
On the side of the case, there is white markings. A capitol K in e square box. followed by 8x57 IS. No markings on the base of the case. Who made it? Year of Manufacture? Corrosive?
Kevin Bartlett
From your brief description this sounds like surplus, and I think you can safely assume that all surplus 8mm is corrosive. Some more so than others. A picture of the box would help. Better yet, pictures of the cartons, boxes or spam cans contained within the case. Best of all, picture or description of the headstamp(s) on the cartridges. Some of the surplus stuff is mixed and repacked. Back in the 80's, I bought a case of mixed steel and brass cased 8mm. I got it from someone in Shotgun news for maybe a $.05 per round. It came in a German wooden case with what appeared to be Finnish markings added. Ryo
Photos would be good. I would treat it as corrosive just in case. Chono them just to determine if they are hot. You can ask here.. There are some real ammo experts there. https://forum.cartridgecollectors.org/

Ryo
Probably a photo of the marking would be good. Jog some memories of people who may have seen it before.
