christopher kanzler
I've owned a Glock 17 converted to an 18 with a rear mounted auto sear conversion for over 10 years (the auto sear replaces the original G17 slide plate cover). I've never been able to disassemble the gun, as traditionally done in it's semi-auto configuration...the slide won't separate from the frame. Can someone give me some guidance on how to remove the slide for maintenance and cleaning? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris K
Firelizzard
You have to remove the auto sear before you can take the slide off, the trip is in the way. You can swap it with a regular back plate and then it will come apart like any other Glock.
