Cincylance
Lots of high dollar sales, but it looks like there were a few well-bought guns in today's Morphy's auction. Was surprised to see so many MGs. https://auctions.morphyauctions.com/Catalog.aspx?auctionid=527&page=1&sortby=7&displayby=2&lotsperpage=25&category=

Schmeisser Guy
Collectors were going crazy for the MGs. The Baby Sten and Silenced Sten are bringing crazy money. People know their money is worthless and are trying to spend it as quickly as possible. We are like rats trying to leave a sinking ship! Haha
Sempfi1
The one Thompson is already at $82,500.. Wow!
Ryo
The way the market is being crazy makes me tempted to sell... but I can't seem to get enough of them. First world troubles.
pa123guns
The crazy part is add 20% buyer premium plus your states sales tax. Here in PA that’s 6% Take that $82.5k Thompson and now is a $104k gun out the door!
johnsonlmg41
There was some fair priced stuff, but I do factor in the large premium, the 10 month wait, so I only got a minor item. Earlier in the year I would have gone hard on a couple items. Yes 104K thompson is going to be tough to get out of should the buyer try to get out one day? That's definitely going to be a "buy and hold". I was a buyer at 10K on the mini sten, but I'm not sorry I didn't drop 29,400 plus tax. The dollar ain't that worthless......yet.. That's easily three full size ones or more! better link https://auctions.morphyauctions.com/AuctionResults.aspx?auctionid=527&ClosedSessionsOnly=1 The prices listed do not include 20% prem., CC usage 3%, or another 3% if you went thru proxybid....which you can't for the MG's, Edited November 18, 2021 by johnsonlmg41

komodoj
I think I owned that Spitfire at one time, few years back. The front end was done by Andrewski I believe. Think I paid 4k for it. Think it sold for over 8k I believe. Spitfires were considered to be the bottom of the barrel transferables at one time. Lol. Cincylance
Was surprised the MG42s sold for $36k and $38k (before the 20% premium is added).
Syncytium1
I picked up the pre-86 DS Bren.
browning1917a1
I hoped the ZB-26 would go for more. I own its twin and thought about selling if the auctioned one had sold for the high estimate of 40k plus buyers fee.
Schmeisser Guy
Post the ZB26 yourself. Take the ACTUAL hammer price not including buyer's fees and taxes and minus like 10% for the auction fee they take from the seller and that gives you the price you MIGHT get. okrana
Actually, the seller's fee, especially on a neat gun like a ZB, can quite often be negotiated to zero. Okrana
Schmeisser Guy
That is good to know.
