Hi, I recently purchased a Colt 6920 complete upper new take off with a C marked bolt carrier. This is the carrier I received. I have about 20 Colt stamped carriers and I have never seen one with the C marked with an electric pencil. Is this Colt?

That is the dot matrix marking that Colt vendors are using. Colt does not manufacture that carrier in the picture above. The only part of the current production rifle Colt manufactures is the aluminum lower receiver. Colt started selling off different pieces of machinery in late 2013, early 2014, to prepair for their bankruptcy in 2015... The roll dies & machinery used to stamp bolt carriers, receivers, upper & lower were sold. The roll dies sold on EBay in early 2020. I was in a bidding war on several different lots, so was Big Chris @ Sharkarms, most of the Roll Die's sold in the $ 300.00 to  $ 325.00 range.

X50plt,

FYI, that upper you recently purchased was probably a 13629 marked receiver & barrel too. That is Cage Code for Colt and again not manufactured by Colt. Manufactured by a Vendor for Colt to Colt military spec's. It shoot's the same... The difference between the 6920 upper you recently purchased and the one I am advertising in the link is the one in the link below is all Colt manufactured down to the bolt carrier.   http://www.sturmgewehr.com/forums/index.php?/topic/23624-colt-16-6920-unfired-upper-0713-date-code/

This is a Roll Due stamped Colt bolt carrier, distinct deep groove C stamping.
