It's pretty much a dead forum but they have lots of MG42 information there. Weapons Guild is another good place to go for building as well. That place is pretty active. https://weaponsguild.com/forum/index.php, maybe not the MG42 section but they do have a lot of stuff, and one of the experts there is still active Edit: Welcome to the board. I, like you, started over at 1919a4 and have been working my way over to joining the other sites after guest viewing them for years. I will be building a couple MG42 kits (into semis) here in the next few months as well. Maybe we can share references/documentation.
