taylorwso Posted July 24, 2021 Report Share Posted July 24, 2021 Was testing my AR10 in f/a into the side of a gravel pit and kept seeing these bright red dots show up. Didn't see them at first because the red dot masked the "lights" and there was a lot of dust/gravel flying. Well shot a couple more times focusing on the "lights," realized I was shooting tracers, How did that happen? Funny thing is, it was a half full mag leftover from indoor range I was testing the gun earlier. <oh shit moment, I had been shooting tracers in a indoor range> Well went back home to see what I had loaded, I had a mix of MEM,DAG,LC,FED and some IMI. Pulled a bullet on one of the IMI cases, bullet seemed longer than 150gr, scratched the back and powder falls out. Yep 500 rounds of tracers. Not marked as such, no red tips, sold as FMJ. I was surprised. Cool I got tracers for fmj prices, sucks I live in a dessert where shooting them is illegal. BTW the indoor range did not burn down, I was lucky.
