dellfree
Nice gun Sir, what does the C S signify? On the M4A3 will that be stamped on the lower? Iam guessing no since i didnt see in your camara work.
cmag_mt
The C on the hammer signfies Colt. The S I'm not sure, possibly period correct for a M4A3. The lower is not marked M4A3.

The lower is not marked M4A3. S is for Schmidt Tool, which is the OEM for Colt fcg.

cmag_mt
Correct what damcv62 stated. The original lower was sent to Colt for repair and came back an M4.

Look at Colt's address compared to pre '86 M16A1s, Colt changed their address marking after 1986 possibly in the 1990s?
