I have for sale a Colt M16A1/M4. It's on a Form 4 in Nevada as Colt M16A1. It's one of 20? that is ATF approved. Runs perfectly with numerous uppers. Will discuss upper options available.  PM me with ?'s  $30,000 obo

Nice gun Sir, what does the C S signify? On the M4A3 will that be stamped on the lower? Iam guessing no since i didnt see in your camara work.

The C on the hammer signfies Colt. The S I'm not sure, possibly period correct for a M4A3. The lower is not marked M4A3.

S is for Schmidt Tool, which is the OEM for Colt fcg.

It's one of 20? Looks like an m16a1 with a non original upper to me. One of 20 what?

That colt replaced the original lower post 1986 with a new M4 lower.

Correct what damcv62 stated. The original lower was sent to Colt for repair and came back an M4.

Look at Colt's address compared to pre '86 M16A1s, Colt changed their address marking after 1986 possibly in the 1990s?
