Posted 24 Mar 2016 (edited) Very nice straight 1918 BAR register machine gun on Form 4. Comes with sling and 5 blued magazines. Barrel dated 2-1918. Gun has some British proof marks on the barrel. I was told there is a good chance it was reblued at some point by the British. Bluing is excellent as is the wood. Gun runs well. It is pictured in the book "Honour Bound" about the Chauchat gun. I am listing this gun for a friend. Buyer pays transfer tax and shipping. 100% up front or add 10% for a 50/50 payment. Posted 17 Apr 2016 Bump. Still available. FYI after speaking with person much more knowledgeable than myself it appears I may have misstated condition. Gun has British proof on barrel. This would indicate gun was probably refinished at one time. Consequently I cannot say for certain how much this gun was fired. It is still appears excellent with no wear to throat or other parts visibly.
