Installing the spring-steel lock on the front sight of a Swedish K M45 

I was able to do this once without breaking the spring-steel lock, but can't remember the trick to install it.

I figured it out...install the spring, slid a small pin punch through the slots in the sights protective ears to push the spring back just far enough to start the threaded front sight in.

If you try to put the sight in first, then push the spring in place you will probably break it.

Thanks for sharing!  I sadly broke a bunch of spring on barrel shroud a couple years ago. Not sure I ever figured it out and maybe sitting on one of my shelves still.
