oscardeuce Posted March 21, 2021 Report Share Posted March 21, 2021 (edited) My Sturmgewehr will not reliably cycle in SA or FA. Everything seems right. Tried privi ammo. My reloads and vintage. Seems like it is not pushing the bolt back far enough to pick up the next round. Is there a gas adjustment that got out of spec? There is no gas adjustment, as long as the gas plug is fully installed and not loose enough to be bleeding gas. Anything binding in the recoil system, spring is properly seated in the stock? jkb471 Posted March 23, 2021 Report Share Posted March 23, 2021 I would think a gas piston would take a ton of rounds fired to wear to the point of impeding function. Can you measure/mic the end of the piston? Any chance the recoil spring got mixed up with one from a different gun?
