Hypothetical question:

If an SOT Class 2/Type 7 FFL dealer accidentally forgets to renew their FFL, and they have post-sample machine guns in their inventory, how soon do the samples need to be transferred out, can they be transferred to any other SOT holder, and what form should they be transferred on?

How does an FFL forget to renew their license? I'd bet an audit of their log books would be a real peach as well.

Hypothetically, the employee in charge of renewing the license may have failed to submit paperwork...a first ever...oversight. Otherwise, ATF inspections and log books have been spotless for 20+ years.

owner gets  the FFL, gets a manager to run the store/business, forgets the timeline he has nothing to do with.
