Maxim 7.62 NATO / .308 conversions (any interest?)

I did a .308 conversion on my Maxim.
I was wondering if this was a feasible product.
Custom barrel and feedblock rework with cartridge insert and guides. It was way more expensive than I planned. By the end, I was in it almost 3K. I don’t think people would pay this much for a conversion, but my friend is trying to push me to do more. I have also done .308/7.62 NATO conversions for the Vickers and one 1914 Hotchkiss also. What do you think?

I think it looks interesting.  I had considered it as a project for my own 08/15 and you showed it is feasible. I've also considered a conversion of my Jap 99, currently in .308 using MG13 mags, to eat some of the 7.92 surplus I have.  With the way things may be going in the near future I'm not sure I want to tie up the time and money in either project.   Keep posting here with updates if you continue with it.

Will do, it’s nice to have it running on modern ammo. No more Berdan cases or corrosive primers. I’m really happy with it.

I just bought a vickers in 7.62x54, id definitely be interested in the .308 conversion.  And by the way, if anyone has a conversion kit for a type 96 jap, it would be useful too.

How much for a barrel and the cartridge stop? That is if you are still working on this project.
